About MOPS 2018-2019 Waitlist

Solana Beach MOPS is currently on waitlist for the September 2018 - May 2019 program year. Although we did fill up quickly, please sign up for the waitlist as we hope to be able to offer more spots to women over the summer. As we are able, moms and children will be moved from the waitlist to active registration. If a spot becomes available, you will be contacted and can make payment and finalize your registration at that time. Please review the information below and fill out the subsequent form to join the waitlist.

If you are not familiar with MOPS, its goal is to "build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving... Connecting women to meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom" (MOPS Int'l Homepage). MOPS is a group run by moms, for moms, which focuses on nurturing & supporting expectant moms through mothers of Kindergartners as together we experience the joys and challenges unique to the early years of mothering. Meetings consist of potluck brunches, inspiring & practical speakers, occasional service opportunities & activities, and small group discussions. Children are lovingly cared for in our MOPPETS children's program, which includes lots of snuggles for infants & toddlers, and structured time for kids 2 years & older where they sing songs, hear Bible stories, make crafts, eat snack, enjoy free play, and more!

MOPS Meeting will be held Friday mornings from 9am-11:30am at Solana Beach Presbyterian Church on Sept 14th, Oct 5th & 19th, Nov 2nd, 16th & 30th, Dec 14th, Jan 18th, Feb 1st & 22nd, March 8th & 22nd, Apr 5th, and May 3rd.

Annual Mom Dues are $135 and include materials from MOPS Int’l. In order to support one another and keep dues affordable, MOPS members will bring food for brunch once per semester and serve in our MOPPETS Children’s Program for half a meeting each semester on a rotational basis. By registering for our program, you agree to participate in supporting your fellow moms in these practical ways.

Each semester, MOPPETS dues are $65 for the first child, $55 for the second child, and the third child is free. Due to varying childcare needs, MOPPETS registration will be done on a semester basis to allow new children to add mid-year. All moms will be required to re-register children in November for the spring semester. Infants 6 months and younger can be enrolled in MOPPETS or
are welcome to stay with you in the meetings. If your infant will be 6 months or older during the fall semester, we ask that you enroll your infant in MOPPETS for the semester or have alternate care plans in place after your child reaches 6 months to help us preserve the “mom environment.”

Payment plans and partial scholarships are available. Both require an initial payment of $40 per mom and $20 per child. Our Finance Team Lead will be in touch regarding further payments or scholarship needs. Payments for payment plans will be due June 1st, July 1st, and August 1st. Please note that you are not registered until your required dues are paid in full or you have an approved partial scholarship.

Once you complete this registration, you will be registered with MOPS Int'l. Part of your dues pay for your MOPS Int’l membership and are non-refundable. Refunds for the remainder of MOPS/MOPPETS dues will be given by request through Aug 10th. After Aug 10th, all requested refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be pro-rated.
